Dielectric Constant Testing service-Dielectric Loss Factor Analysis

Shanghai Jituo provides dielectric constant testing and dielectric loss testing using vector network analyzers and Dielectric constant tester

Definition of Dielectric Constant

  • The significance of dielectric constant is a measure of a material's ability to increase the capacitance of a capacitor relative to a vacuum, reflecting the relative ability of a dielectric to store electrostatic energy in an electric field.

Definition of Dielectric Loss

  • Dielectric loss refers to the phenomenon where a dielectric heats up itself due to consuming part of the electrical energy in an alternating electric field.
  • Testing method: Vector Network Analyzer

Sample Submission Requirements and Precautions

  • Ring-shaped samples, tested by vector network analyzer coaxial transmission line method; outer diameter 6.9 ~ 7 mm, inner diameter 3.0 ~ 3.1 mm, thickness 3 ~ 5 mm. Applicable frequency range: 0.5~18GHz.
  • Ring-shaped samples, tested by vector network analyzer coaxial transmission line method; outer diameter 2.4mm, inner diameter 1.0mm, thickness 2mm. Applicable frequency range: 18GHz~40GHz.
  • Ring-shaped samples, tested by impedance analyzer method; outer diameter ≤8.0mm, inner diameter ≥3.1mm, thickness ≤3mm; or outer diameter ≤20mm, inner diameter ≥5mm, thickness ≤8.5mm. Applicable frequency range: 1 MHz~3 GHz.
  • Dielectric constant tester, 20Hz - 2MHz, dielectric constant of insulating materials, non-destructive thin sheet with 60mm diameter
