Micro-FTIR analysis and testing service

Shanghai Jituo provides micro-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (Micro-FTIR) testing services. Micro-FTIR is used to test the functional group spectra of organic compounds in specific regions, detect the characteristics of compounds, and determine the similarities and differences between different compounds.

Principle of Micro-FTIR

  • Infrared spectroscopy (IR), also known as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), utilizes the fact that chemical bonds or functional groups in molecules can absorb vibrations. Different chemical bonds or functional groups have different absorption frequencies and thus appear at different positions in the infrared spectrum, enabling the acquisition of information about the types of chemical bonds or functional groups contained in the molecule.

  • Signal-to-noise ratio: 45000:1 (peak-to-peak);
  • Sampling rate: 80 spectra/second (at 16cm⁻¹ spectral resolution);

Sample Submission Requirements and Notes

  • Samples can be solid or liquid. 20~100mg of sample should be placed in a plastic centrifuge tube.
  • Transmission and attenuated total reflection (ATR) modes are available.
