Laser particle size analyzer testing is used to detect the particle size of powder materials, determine the particle size distribution, measure the particle size ratio, etc.
Principle of Laser Particle Size Analyzer
The laser particle size analyzer tests the particle size distribution based on the physical phenomenon that particles can scatter laser light. Due to the excellent monochromaticity and strong directionality of laser, a beam of parallel laser will irradiate to an infinite distance in an unobstructed infinite space, with little divergence during propagation. The intensity of scattered light represents the quantity of particles with that particle size. By measuring the intensity of scattered light at different angles, the particle size distribution of the sample can be obtained.
