Oxidative Induction Time (OIT) and Temperature Testing Services | Thermal Stability Analysis | Jituotech

Expert OIT and OITp testing services using DSC technology. We provide accurate oxidative induction time measurements for PE/PP pipes, geomembranes, and lubricants to assess long-term thermal stability and antioxidant effectiveness.

Shanghai Jituo provides testing services for Oxidation Induction Time (OIT) and Oxidation Induction Temperature (Dynamic OIT).

Oxidation Induction Time (OIT)

  • The time interval for a material to undergo an autocatalytic oxidation reaction under a specific temperature (e.g., 210°C) in an oxygen or air environment.

Oxidation Induction Temperature (Dynamic OIT)

  • Under a constant oxygen atmosphere, the plastic sample is heated according to a programmed temperature increase to trigger an oxidation reaction. The temperature at which the material begins to oxidize or reaches its peak oxidation is defined as the oxidation induction temperature.
  • The oxidation induction time (OIT) and oxidation induction temperature (OIT temperature) of plastics are important indicators for assessing the thermal-oxidative stability of plastic materials. They are commonly used in polymer material research and development, quality control, and lifespan prediction.

Testing Method: ** Thermal Analysis

###** Instrument Technical Parameters**

  • Temperature Range: -100 to 400°C
